EVENTS FOR 2010
This year we kicked off our visits programme with an outing to the Garrick Club in Covent Garden. We spent a fascinating morning looking around the club and it’s outstanding collection of theatrical works of art.
MARCH
A trip to Paris spending a week looking at theatres and attending some performances
MAY
Our AGM will be on Saturday 22nd May in London at RADA.
JUNE
A trip to Blackpool to see the Tower Ballroom and attend the show at the Circus. We will also be visiting the Grand Theatre
AUGUST
A Weekend is planned in Bournemouth visiting the Pavilion theatre, the Opera House in Boscombe and seeing the summer show at the Pier theatre.
OCTOBER
We will be holding a day seminar on Friday 29th October at Wakefield Theatre Royal entitled ;- THEATRE RESTORATION IN THE NORTH- PROGRESS AND PROBLEMS.
This will have presentations form several recent and ongoing projects and well as the plans for Wakefield itself.
In Addition to the above we are also planning to visit Glasgow in the Autumn and have further theatre visits in London
